Headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Watershed Messaging (formerly Contact Services LLC) is a full service agency that makes it easier for organizations to reach their target audiences in meaningful ways.
We offer a full range of marketing, advertising, branding services, as well as custom SMS texting and auto-calls, tele-townhalls, survey and polling, and interactive digital marketing. Our print materials are designed to further create an impact with your target audience.
Our clients include small businesses, political campaigns, and nonprofit organizations.
Kent Vanderwood
Owner, CEO
Owner and CEO Kent Vanderwood has been involved in community and non-profit fundraising and political campaigns since the 1980s. For 16 years, Kent served on the Wyoming City Council (Kent County) and is currently the mayor. He has served in both public and private education, including 20 years as a Head of School. More recently, Kent has served as a partner, development director and consultant for The Timothy Group of Grand Rapids, an organization that specializes in pre-campaign studies, capital campaigns, major donor programs, strategic planning services, executive fundraising, mentoring and board development.
Kent has a B.S. from Grand Valley State University and a Masters Degree from Western Michigan University. He has owned Watershed Messaging Services since 2021.
Jake Frievalt
Operations Officer
Jake Frievalt is a dynamic professional with a demonstrated history of success in public policy, campaign management, and consulting. Grounded in entrepreneurship, he contributes a distinctive viewpoint and a strategic mindset to the Watershed team.
In his free time, Jake enjoys traveling, golfing and spending time with his family. His passion for exploration widens his outlook, and pursuing a lower handicap offers the ideal blend of relaxation and challenge. Jake’s versatile approach to both his career and personal pursuits mirrors his commitment to ongoing development and innovation
